Our Team

Peter Frykman

Peter Frykman is the Founder and CEO of Driptech. He received his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, where he focused on manufacturing and design. He is vitally concerned with the challenge of water scarcity, especially in developing countries. His professional interests include mechatronics, medical devices, and design for extreme affordability. He is an avid rower and two time national champion for Stanford.


Agricultural Development

Anna Petersons

Anna recently joined the Driptech team to manage installation of test plots in India. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in International Agricultural Development at UC Davis. She spent over two years with the Peace Corps in Niger, where she supported garden projects, planted test plots, and installed and repaired foot pumps for rural farmers.


Product Development

Nick Leindecker

Nick earned his bachelor’s in Physics and is completing his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He has worked on projects ranging from nuclear generators to LCD displays. His electrical engineering knowledge has been instrumental in the design of an automated manufacturing system.


Trevor Boswell

Trevor joined Driptech in March 2009 to develop the manufacturing system for irrigation tubing. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and is currently working on his master's in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. He has experience in manufacturing and mechanical design at Intuitive Surgical and Boeing.


Ross Venook

Ross works as an advisory project manager for the technical development team. His day-job is as an R&D engineer for a major medical device maker, working on safety of long-term implantable medical devices. He is passionate about creating appropriate measures for product performance and aligning product development efforts with unmet needs.


Danny Gilliland

Danny has been working with the Driptech team since the spring and has installed the first system in the United States on the Stanford University Campus. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. Joining the team full time for the summer, Danny is working primarily on developing the kit for the United States and installing systems in the bay area.


Eric Yi Zheng

Eric joined the Driptech team recently as a summer associate, working on the controls of the manufacturing system. He received his BS in Measurement & Control technology and Instrument at Tsinghua University in China and is currently pursuing his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. His background ranges from mechanical design to control, measurement technology, circuit design and programming.


Business Development

Purabi Thakre

Purabi earned her degree in Chemical Engineering from the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology in India. After graduation, she worked on large-scale waste management and rural water supply and sanitation projects in India. She then spent two years in South Korea helping Samsung develop public-private partnerships to address agricultural and environmental issues in South Korea, India, and Thailand. She is committed to building partnerships that combine the resources and knowledge of private companies with the mission of nonprofit organizations.


Dave Evans

Dave has been working with Driptech to focus its strategic position, develop its brand identity, assist with field research in India, and generally add his highly international experience in design and product development to the team's growing expertise. He graduated from Stanford with a BSME in '03 and spent four years in industry with some pretty famous companies before returning for an MS in Product Design. He has taken several projects in appropriate technology from idea through implementation and is excited to help Driptech fulfill its incredible promise.
